Carl Anders Säfström has been Professor of Educational Research and Director of the Center for Public and Pedagogical Education at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Maynooth since November 2017.
He has been a professor at Uppsala University since completing his PhD in 1994. He later became a full professor.
At Mälardalen University he was a member of the management group and Director of Academic Didactics, a joint project between Örebro University and Mälardalen University.
Ivor Goodson has worked in universities in England, Canada and the USA. He was Professor of Learning Theory at the Centre for Education Research at the University of Brighton in the UK and conducted large-scale research projects. He is currently Professor of International Research at Tallinn University in Estonia and a research associate at the Guerrand-Hermès Peace Foundation in Brighton, UK.

She completed a PhD in Psychology in the specialty of Educational Psychology, a Master's degree in Educational Sciences in the specialization area of Educational Psychology and a degree in Psychology from the University of Lisbon - Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences.
She is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon and a Researcher at CICPSI - Center for Research in Psychological Science.
She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the New University of Lisbon (FCSH-UNL). She has a PhD in Sociology of Education. She is the executive director of EDUNOVA.ISPA and vice-coordinator of the PhD in Education at FCSH. She has coordinated and participated in research projects in the areas of sociology of education, sociology of the curriculum, curriculum policies, curriculum development, school segregation and inclusion of immigrant students. She is currently coordinating a project on the inclusion of immigrant students funded by Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion. She is a member of an international network on the integration of immigrant students, under a COST Action entitled - CA18115 - Transnational Collaboration on Bullying, Migration and Integration at School Level.
He has a degree in Primary School Teaching, a degree in Developmental Psychology and Child Education, and a Master's and PhD in Educational Sciences. He is an Associate Professor with Aggregation at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto, as well as an integrated member of the Center for Educational Intervention and Research (CIIE) of the same institution. His areas of interest, as a researcher and author of books and articles, are related to the organization and management of the teaching and learning process in school contexts, initial and ongoing teacher training or Pedagogy in Higher Education. He is currently president of the Scientific-Pedagogical Council for Continuing Education.
